FIRST CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH
WELCOME TO OLDTOWN
North Attleborough, MA — November 3, 2024
Don’t put yourself or your faith in a box because that’s what everyone else is doing. God colors outside the lines and wants us to explore and turn over rocks to discover the goodness of life.
Ministers: ALL of our Members and Friends
Pastor & Teacher: The Rev. Kelly Thibeault
Welcome to the Oldtown Church!
We are so glad that you have chosen to worship with us today. We invite you to join in on the bold print in the bulletin and to stand as you are able any time you see a ⇑. The restrooms are out the back door of the sanctuary to the right, as is a little space in case your little one needs a walkabout. Here in Oldtown, we are all about being curious, so don’t be afraid to ask questions, and please join us for fellowship after worship!
Please remember to mute your devices during worship.

CALL TO WORSHIP
We are all one family,
Made in the image of God.
We are all one family,
Each unique, each special.
We are all one family,
Brothers & sisters on a journey of faith.
We are all one family,
Given gifts and talents to share.
We are all one family,
United in the love of God.
LITANY OF REMEMBRANCE
We remember the great ancestors of our faith, from Abraham and Sarah to Paul and Phoebe:
Ancestors of the faith, we remember you.
We remember the prophets and priests, the ministers and teachers who have taught us the way of God:
Teachers of the faith, we remember you.
We remember our grandparents and parents, aunts and uncles, those who have gone before us in our lifetime:
Family of our faith, we remember you.
We lift up the memories of children and grandchildren, brothers and sisters, husbands and wives, and parents whose lives ended too soon:
Those close in our hearts, we remember you.
We lift to You, O God, the names of all of the saints and souls…
(A reading of the names of those family and friends who have passed into eternal rest and a tolling of the bell in our steeple. After the reading of the list we will have a moment of silence to remember others who have died.)
Family of God,
We remember you, and we honor you.
We know you are with us in the spirit of worship,
and you will not be forgotten.

⇑ BENEDICTION
⇑ BENEDICTION RESPONSE (C#434)
Sent forth by God’s blessing, our true faith confessing,
The people of God from this dwelling take leave.
The service is ended, O now be extended
The fruits of our worship in all who believe.
The seed of the teaching, receptive hearts reaching,
Shall blossom in action for God and for all.
God’s grace did invite us, and love shall unite us
To work for God’s realm and to answer the call.

Weekly Giving
- Last week, we welcomed 40 people in worship, and our total giving to the church for the week was $1,054.49, which is $330.13 less than expected.
- So far, this year’s congregational giving has been $1,400 more than expected. Keep up the great work!!
This week, we carry on a tradition of many of the Oldtown Saints throughout the years, our Oldtown Fall Fair. The fair is a time for all of us to pull together for an event that is well-known and beloved throughout the community. We appreciate all the work everyone is continuing to do. And don’t forget to spread the word to your friends and neighbors so we can welcome as many folks as possible and show them our Oldtown hospitality!
“Go out into the roads and lanes, and compel people to come in, so that my house may be filled.”
