CALL TO WORSHIP
We share God’s love with others
When we reach out to help those in need.
We share God’s love with others
When we open our hearts to listen.
We share God’s love with others
When we love people that we don’t even like.
We share God’s love with others
When we worship God together.

Open our eyes, Lord, we want to see Jesus,
To reach out and touch Him and say that we love Him.
Open our ears, Lord, and help us to listen.
Open our eyes, Lord, we want to see Jesus.

SERMON—”In This House: We Show Love”
PREPARING OURSELVES FOR PRAYER
In moments like these, I sing out a song,
I sing out a love song to Jesus.
In moments like these, I lift up my hands.
I lift up my hands to the Lord.
Singing, “I love you, Lord.”
Singing, “I love you, Lord.”
Singing, “I love you, Lord. I love you.”
CANDLE LIGHTING LITANY and the LORD’S PRAYER
Response: … and we promise
We will not let the light go out, as it has shone for so many years, may the Light of Christ continue to shine here in Oldtown!
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed by they name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Sent forth by God’s blessing, our true faith confessing,
The people of God from this dwelling take leave.
The service is ended. O now be extended
The fruits of our worship in all who believe.
The seed of the teaching, receptive hearts reaching
Shall blossom in action for God and for all.
God’s grace did invite us, and love shall unite us
To work for God’s realm and to answer the call.

Please join us for coffee and fellowship in Maxcy Hall following worship!

THE FAIR IS THIS WEEK! – Nov 16, 2019
We are in the home stretch in our preparations for our annual Fall Fair and we need your help. We hope you have been making beautiful things! If you are making items for the bake table please label your goodies with the ingredients so those who are allergic to things like nuts, gluten and egg are alerted. Also, please do not wrap your goods in aluminum foil; use clear plastic wrap instead.
WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP?
Check out our ONLINE SIGNUP FORM or the list of tables in Maxcy Hall and sign up for duty the day of the fair. Mark your calendars!
Sunday Nov. 10th: Immediately after worship we need strong bodies to help bring up tables from the vestry and to put the table cloths on them. Also, after church, Hope Cahill, Valerie Fertitta or Kris Collins will be available to collect any crafts you made for the fair.
Wednesday Nov. 13th 6:30 pm: This the “Final Call” time to drop off any crafts or last minute items. Our fair committee will be working hard over the next two days to set up the table displays. If you would like to offer the fair committee a hand with task please call / text Kris Collins at 508-851-0527
Friday Nov. 15th: Someone will be around the church most of the day so you can drop off any last minute Baked Goods. We’ll also be preparing food in the kitchen if you’d like to help, ask Ed.
Saturday—Fair Day—Nov. 16th 9:00 am till 2:00 pm: Everyone working a table, or in the kitchen should arrive by at least 8 am. We’ll be in the kitchen at 8 am to get things started. Always room for an extra pair of hands even if it’s only for one hour
2:00 pm till done!: At the end of the fair, welcome hands are most needed to help pack up and clean up after a busy day. Many hands make light work. We need your hands!

The Fall Fair is our biggest fundraiser of the year, by far. In many ways, this one event determines whether we will meet our budget for the year, or come up short. If there is ANYTHING you can do to help out, even if it’s only to come over for a few hours at 2pm and help with cleanup, PLEASE come and lend a hand. Many hands make a successful event, as well as making light work.
“So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up.“
