STEWARDSHIP CORNER
Weekly Giving
- Last week, we welcomed 41 people in worship, and our total giving to the church for the week was $1,226.43, which is $158.19 less than expected.
- So far, this year’s congregational giving has been $2,200 more than expected. Keep up the great work!!
Monthly Finances for July
- Our July fundraising was $650 less than expected. Fundraising always slows down a little during the summer months. Thanks to all who continue to help!
- In June, our budgeted income was $450 more than expected, while our budgeted expenses were $4,000 less than expected!
- For the year, our total income is $5,000 more than our total expenses!!
The Bible tells us, “The truth shall set you free,” and that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. While we value our personal freedom, we need to remember to ensure our commitment to the truth and to take care that we do not prioritize our own freedoms at the expense of the freedoms of others. If we all “love our neighbor as ourselves,” then we will ALL have the joys and benefits of freedom.
For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters, only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for self-indulgence, but through love become enslaved to one another. For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” If, however, you bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another.
