FIRST CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH
WELCOME TO OLDTOWN
North Attleborough, MA — April 13, 2025

Ministers: ALL of our Members and Friends
Pastor & Teacher: The Rev. Kelly Thibeault
Welcome to the Oldtown Church!
We are so glad that you have chosen to worship with us today. We invite you to join in on the bold print in the bulletin and to stand as you are able any time you see a ⇑. The restrooms are out the back door of the sanctuary to the right, as is a little space in case your little one needs a walkabout. Here in Oldtown, we are all about being curious, so don’t be afraid to ask questions, and please join us for fellowship after worship!
Finally, as a way of honoring our time together and truly loving our neighbor, we ask that you please silence your phone or, better yet, turn it off, allowing yourself to be truly present in worship.

PRELUDE
GATHERING MUSIC
WELCOME / WORSHIP WAYS
TIME OF CENTERING (C#433)

The fellowship of kindred minds is like to that above.
CALL TO WORSHIP / BLESSING OF THE PALMS
A CALL TO LET GO
PRAYER OF LETTING GO
O God, forgive me when I speak before listening, when I speak over my neighbor, when I speak with barbed words. Forgive me when I listen to society, when I listen to my friends, when I listen to the news, but I do not listen to you. Forgive me when I shout out, but do not shout your name when I listen, but do not listen for your voice. Forgive me and create in me a heart like yours. Amen.
WORDS OF ASSURANCE

Our fears, our hopes, our aims are one, our comforts and our cares.
PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE and THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Blest be the tie that binds our hearts in Christian love;
The fellowship of kindred minds is like to that above.

But we shall still be joined in heart and hope to meet again.

STEWARDSHIP CORNER
Weekly Giving
- Last week, we welcomed 55 people in worship, and our total giving to the church for the week was $4,103.08, which is $2,680 more than expected.
- So far, this year’s congregational giving has been $5,000 more than expected. Keep up the great work!!
Monthly Finances for March
- Our March fundraising was $150 more than expected, but still $2,500 less than expected for the year. Fundraising always starts the year slowly. Please continue to consider ways you can help with our fundraising efforts.
- In March, our budgeted income was $2,700 more than expected, while our budgeted expenses were $100 less than expected!
- So far this year, our total income is $3,900 less than our total expenses.
This Sunday, we hear the story of people shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!” at Jesus’s arrival. Though the stones would cry out if the people were silent, we are encouraged not to remain silent and find ways to let the world know about the Jesus we follow. We can do that by actively spreading the welcome and hospitality we share at Oldtown with our community and our world.
“… let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.”
