2022 turned out to be a better fundraising year then we had ever expected. Despite the absence of our church suppers due to continued COVID restrictions, we still far exceeded our fundraising goals for the year.
In lieu of Suppers, Ed Clavette and his team pulled together five yard sales for the year! That might be a record for this little church. (a special thanks to Tom & Pat Sanford as well). It was followed up with a Savers collection in the summer.
Our monthly Pet Clinic continues to be a popular event. Half of the proceeds from each clinic goes to the general fund, the other half to the Building Fund. We can’t thank Dr. Peter Granville DVM, enough for offering his time (and talent!) to this endeavor.
Again, thanks to Ed Clavette, we have had steady income from his online sales of items that were once destined for the yard sale. It’s a lot of work to post these items, sell them, and oftentimes deliver them to the new owners. We really appreciate your hard work Ed.
We held two fairs this year, one in April and one in November. You can read about them further in the fair report. However, I will say, they both went off smoothly thanks to the hard work our fair “team”. Many hands make light work. The Fall fair exceeded our expectations for fundraising. In fact, we may have broken our record for Auction sales!
Finally, we still raise some funds through the sale of Oldtown Bibles, which can be purchased on our Online store at https://www.oldtownucc.org/store/
None of this would be possible without the hard work of our church family. We stepped up to the plate and met the challenge. We all look forward to a successful fundraising year in 2023.
