On Children’s Sunday, we celebrate the completion of our Sunday School classes for the year, as our young people assist with our worship at 10am. The Sunday school students have been hard at work planning events and a meal to share with the congregation. Be sure to check out the sign up sheet in Maxcy Hall. The kids are looking for pizza topping donations, as well as participants for some field games on Sunday, May 20th. ALL ARE WELCOME! Even if you don’t have kids in Sunday School, and even if you’re a first-time visitor, we want you to join us in the celebration!
Don’t forget to collect your can tabs or sign up to volunteer for the turkey supper to help your team earn points. The winning team from children’s Sunday will have their photo shared on our Facebook page and bragging rights until next year.
As always, there will be games out on the South Lawn and make-your-own ice cream sundaes downstairs in the vestry to go along with our pizza.
Worship at Oldtown is a time for all to gather as a family of faith to pray and sing, thank and praise, and to open our ears, our eyes, our hearts, and our minds to God. You can always expect an extravagant welcome and more when you join us for worship.
In the words of our denomination, “No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.”
